Project Closeout.

A verified record of what was actually built.

The design shows what was intended; closeout documents what actually happened. An as-built survey measures the completed improvements — structures, utilities, grades and site features — against the design, producing the record that closeout, agency acceptance and the next phase of work all rely on. Captured at the right time, especially before underground work is buried, it turns the end of construction into a dependable dataset instead of a set of assumptions.

Who this is for

  • General contractors closing out a project
  • Owners who want a reliable record of a completed asset
  • Public agencies requiring as-built documentation for acceptance
  • Engineers certifying completed grading or improvements

Common situations

  • Closeout requires documented as-built conditions
  • A grading certificate needs surveyed final elevations
  • Newly installed utilities must be recorded before they are covered
  • A future phase needs to know precisely what phase one built

Project Closeout — common questions

When should as-built survey work be scheduled?

Ideally in phases, while underground work is still visible. Documenting utilities before burial is far more accurate and less expensive than locating them afterward.

Can you deliver as-builts in our CAD standards?

Yes. Record drawings are drafted in your project's CAD standards and certified where the accepting agency requires it.
