Slope Density Analysis.

In hillside areas, how much you can build depends on how steep the land is. A slope density analysis maps the site into slope bands and runs the calculations the local ordinance prescribes, giving your architect and the planning department a defensible basis for the buildable envelope.

Do I need a topographic survey first?

The analysis is only as good as the surface it is computed from, so it is based on field-surveyed topography. If a current topo exists we can often work from it; if not, we survey the site as part of the scope.
