Flood Elevation Certificate.
If your property is in or near a mapped flood zone, the elevation of your structure relative to the base flood elevation drives your insurance rating. We survey the elevations FEMA requires and complete the official elevation certificate that insurers and floodplain administrators use.

Flood Elevation Certificate questions
Can an elevation certificate lower my flood insurance?
It can, when the surveyed elevations show your structure sits higher than the mapping assumes. The certificate gives your insurer the data to rate the actual risk, and it is the first step toward a map amendment when one is justified. It is not a guarantee of a lower premium.
Is this the same as a LOMA?
No. The elevation certificate documents elevations; a Letter of Map Amendment is a FEMA application that uses that data to formally remove a structure from the flood zone. We can prepare the certificate that supports a LOMA application.
